We often see people through labels, assumptions, and first impressions. But Jesus sees the person behind the label. He listens to stories, enters people's lives, and notices where God is already at work. Tabor's strategy calls us to honor the experiences that shape who we are and how God is at work among us. In a rooted and diverse community, every story matters. The Prayerful Listener teaches us that listening can be an act of love. We don't have to fix someone's story, agree with every part of it, or rush to offer an answer. Sometimes the most Christlike thing we can do is simply make space to hear. Whose story is God inviting me to listen to?
